I apologize t...Anonymous writer from January 29th,

I apologize that the comment about my children being the cutest set of twins made you upset. But, I assure you that I was not judgmental of any of those precious little infants. I was in no way saying that the other babies were not cute. Because they definitely were adorable. I was just a happy and proud new mother of babies that I had prayed for, for many years. Of course I would say that they were the cutest. Wouldn't most mothers?

I am truly hurt because by you commenting that you are praying that my boys to grow to be loving and accepting of others, that I am neither of those. You do not know me. And it's not fair for you to insult me.

I am gracious. I am loving. And I am accepting of others.

It is actually you who is making judgments on me after misconstruing one simple comment I wrote. And I hope you do not do it to anyone else because you have made me cry tears that didn't need to be cried. If you really knew me or read other posts on my blog, you would know I am a good person who would never want to hurt anyone. You would read how I often write about other children and how all babies are miracles from God.

I also wanted to tell you that these photos were taken for the newspaper the day after my twins almost died in the hospital. They were born premature and drastically lost a lot of weight after they were born. Unknown to myself and the birthing center staff, my attempt to breastfeed them almost cost them their lives. They were seeming to be nursing, but for whatever reason, were not consuming much at all. Their glucose (blood sugar) levels were, what the hospital called, "deathly low." I was holding my dear Elijah in my arms and as I watched him, I knew something seemed wrong. I then watched his tiny eyes roll into the back of his head as he had a seizure. I ran to the nursery and an emergency code was called for my boys. They were rushed to be bottle fed formula and put on the pulse ox machines. The nurses said they both could have died. Who knows what could have happened if we were at home and not there in the hospital. I am grateful they recovered quickly and have been healthy ever since. And we give thanks to God for protecting them. And I give thanks for my miracles each and every day of my life.

I tell you this story because there is no way I was judging those babies in the nursery. I was giving thanks for my miracles that I could have lost and everyone else's miracles. Seeing those three sets of twins gave me hope and pride and comfort. Seeing any child does. And I would be forever grateful to be given the chance to have more children someday.

So yes, I am gracious. I am loving. And I am accepting of others. Even accepting of you, the anonymous writer, who was judgmental to me. And I forgive you.

Amy Cox Vincellihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09199596126683745616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7376932518012355629.post-6254225048514705612013-01-31T09:01:28.568-06:002013-01-31T09:01:28.568-06:00Right on, Malia, right on!

If you did, you would know that she cherishes every child and thinks every baby in that picture is a precious miracle. And, like every single mother in the world, she's just a *tiny* bit biased toward her own. ;-) I know no one who is more loving than Amy. ~JamilyaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7376932518012355629.post-67894040984619527552013-01-30T21:31:31.260-06:002013-01-30T21:31:31.260-06:00And here you are Anonymous, going out of your way ...And here you are Anonymous, going out of your way to be judgmental of Amy's post. The babies are all adorable, none more precious or cuter than the the others. After your struggles, one would think you would be more gracious. My prayers for your boys, so that they can grow to be loving and accepting of others. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
