PRINCESS PARTY SLEEPOVER
Here's another blog post that got lost along the way. I started it back in January, but never finished it. Just came across it tonight and finished it up. (Our Princess Party Sleepover occurred on January 1, 2012.)
Enjoy!
It's way overdue for a girly post. One that includes lots of pink, dress-up, and princesses.
I adore my nieces, Ava and Cora. (I adore my other baby nieces too, Emma and Ryder, but sorry, cutie pies, this post is all about the older ones!) Ava and Cora have filled my life with so much joy and happiness. They were and always will be my tiny little angels...my glimpses of hope during a time when we never knew if we'd have our own children. I spoiled them and we did so many girly things together. I'm not able to spend as much one on one time with them anymore now with the twins, so I really cherish these special moments with them.
It had been over a year since the girls were over for a sleepover and now that the boys were finally sleeping through the night, it was time to party it up.
Here's are all the details you need to throw your very own "Princess Party." It doesn't cost a lot of money, just a little time and creativity. Have fun!
Invite I made:
Find a creative way to do a surprise invite:
(We have a big blow up monkey that travels back and forth between my sister's house and mine. Whenever they are gone for a few days or on vacation, the monkey magically appears in their house. And vice versa. He's been found on the toilet, sleeping in their bed, washing dishes, doing laundry, etc. So, I decided to dress up the monkey as a princess and have him help invite the girls.)
I knew they'd be excited and video taped it. Watch their happiness:
Sign on the front door when the girls arrived at my house:
