HAPPY 1st FATHER'S DAY
I'd like to wish a very happy FIRST Father's Day to my wonderful husband, Nick. I always knew he would be an amazing father, but seeing him as a daddy has gone far beyond my expectations. So here's to you, Nick, you've waited a long time to celebrate this special holiday. And now you have two beautiful sons to celebrate it with! Enjoy it!
Words cannot truly describe how much I love seeing you in the "father role." It's far better than I even imagined. Thank you for taking care of our family. Thank you for loving us and always putting us first. You are so loving, caring, and giving. You never hesitate to lend a hand and are involved in each and every aspect of your boys' lives. Thank you for being so supportive, faithful, and encouraging. Remember one or both of us falling asleep, with bottle and baby in hand, at 3am during yet another night feeding? Not many dads would be up at each and every middle of the night feedings. But you never questioned it. Remember the major "poopsplosions" in the middle of the night and the complete, frantic, chaos? Wow, we've been through a lot in these 9 months of parenthood, but we are seasoned veterans now and can dish out great advice as good as the rest of 'em. We are a great team and parenthood has made us closer and stronger.
Seeing you interact with the babies puts a smile on my face and in my heart. It is etched there forever! I can see and feel the pride in your heart when you look at Elijah and Will. It shows in everything you do, from changing their diapers, to blending up their homemade baby food, to reading to them. I adore watching you cuddle them, kiss them, tickle them, hold them, read to them, bathe them, feed them, sing to them, oh I could go on and on. I truly love it all!
Thank you for being the rock of our family. You provide for us, protect us, and love us. You carried us through years of heartache while trying for a baby. Your gentle strength and unwavering faith keep us moving forward and looking upward. I am so proud of you and the man you are. You are an amazing husband, friend, doctor, and father. Be proud and hold your head high. Elijah and Will have a perfect role model in you. I'm so in love with you and praise God for all that you are. I LOVE YOU!
Here is Nick with the boys on Father's Day. It was their first time at a golf course, seeing Daddy finish in his golf tournament with Papa at Okoboji View Golf Course in Okoboji, Iowa. They better get used to being on the golf course as they aren't technically a "Vincelli" unless they are golfers. :)
